Google Workspace “You do not have access to Gmail”

Upon attempting to access Gmail, users encounter the error message: “We are sorry, but you do not have access to Gmail. Some reasons why you may not have access:

Solution:

  1. Sign in to the Admin console.
  2. Navigate to Billing > Get more services from the left menu.
  3. Click on “Switch” under Google Workspace Enterprise Plus.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the subscription change.
  5. Once the new subscription is added, return to Get more services.
  6. Click on “Switch” under Google Workspace Business Starter.
  7. Proceed with “Get started.”

If you still can’t use Gmail, follow these steps:

  1. Go to “Billing” > “Subscriptions.”
  2. If you see only one license, add more.
  3. In “Users,” select your email and assign licenses.
